it inspires beauty and creation way past its time.
The blueprint of Beit Maya has lived within me for as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in London to Lebanese parents, yet my being was always drawn to the textures, colours and soul of our region, to its craft, its creativity and the intricate beauty woven into the smallest details of daily life. My late mama, Maya — Mayoush to those who loved her most — brought that world to life for us. Through her love for art, design, colour and her magical flair of creating a home, she taught me that home is not just a place, but something we can always return to through the senses.
Her influence, together with the endless inspiration I continue to draw from our region, shapes the foundations of Beit Maya. Although our region continues to face hardship and turmoil, endless beauty still continues to blossom from it. As a love letter to my mama and an ode to the lands that inspire me most, my hope is to infuse every home with warmth, connection, story and soul. Each object is designed to move you beyond its beauty, offering a moment to feel, to return and to remember.
I hope you can feel the love I have poured into our first collection of candles celebrating each corner of the Levant. Creating this space has filled me with so much joy and nourished my creativity in such a profound way, keeping me close not only to my mama’s spirit, but to that of our region. I can’t wait to keep exploring, creating and connecting.
